How our Safety Score works
The Safety Score summarizes observable risk and trust signals. It is designed to explain what deserves attention—not to declare that a business is safe or fraudulent.
Signals we consider
Checks may include domain and HTTPS information, business identity consistency, contact details, policy availability, payment methods, public reputation signals, community reports and unusual pricing patterns.
How to interpret a result
A stronger score means more positive or verifiable signals were available at the time of the check. A weaker score means important information was missing, inconsistent or associated with greater transaction risk.
Important limitations
Public information can be incomplete, outdated or manipulated. Legitimate new businesses may have little history, while harmful sellers may look professional. Always review the evidence and use a payment method with buyer protection.
