This policy explains the information used to operate BeforeYouPay. Do not submit passwords, payment credentials, national identifiers or other highly sensitive personal information.
Information you provide
When you run a check, we process the website address you submit. When you file a report, we process the seller or business details, description, links and evidence you choose to provide.
Screenshot and price tools
Screenshots submitted for analysis are sent to the configured AI provider to extract visible purchase information and safety signals. Remove private messages, full payment details, identity documents and other sensitive information before upload. Product search terms and selected country are sent to the configured shopping-data provider to find comparable offers.
How information is used
Information is used to generate results, moderate reports, prevent abuse, improve safety signals and maintain the service. Published community reports may be visible worldwide, so remove unnecessary personal information before submitting.
Analytics and cookies
We collect first-party aggregate usage events to operate, protect and improve the service, including page paths, completed checks, approximate country, referral source and campaign tags. Technical request data is converted to a one-way identifier rather than intentionally storing a raw IP address in analytics records. Google advertising and analytics consent stays denied by default, so we do not silently grant non-essential cookie consent. We do not intentionally send passwords, payment credentials, private report descriptions or searched phone numbers to Google.
Service and retention
Hosting, security, analytics and infrastructure providers may process technical request data needed to deliver, measure and protect the service. Records may be retained while useful for safety, moderation, legal compliance or abuse prevention, and may be corrected or removed when appropriate.
